Unbelievable

I had never gone to the Haunted Forest. The first time I heard about it I couldn't wait to go, but that was over four years ago. There were some cops around when we there so I was a little apprehensive about hanging around the entrance until they went away. After wandering around in the dark for a while we decided to follow the trail going to the highest point. In all honesty, I was a bit beside myself whenever we'd hear people or animals in the brush. The place is unnerving, but that's probably just because of all the Klan stories. Apparently Thursday is cross burning night, at least according to Jassiel. The climb top was pretty steep, but the view was definitely worth it. We could see all the way to LA from there. It was an unexpected treat to see how the cities shimmer at night.
We didn't go past a certain point because of "mountain lion tracks," and at that point we were ready to believe just about anything. We kept looking around and scaring each other for a while but then someone started throwing bottles, so that seemed like as good a time as any to go.
Of course, we went to Gravity Hill afterwards. I don't know exactly how or why but the car was rolling up the hill by itself. I wish I'd brought baby powder along.
We went to the roof of my old middle school to close the night. I can't believe I had let it be so long without going back there, either.
I took some pictures of the mountain lion tracks and of the cityscape but they don't do any justice to the view.
There was a severed head of a Santa Teddy bear impaled on the gate at the main entrance.

At least the Klansmen did a good job of decorating the place.

( '_ゝ')

It's midnight and I'm doing the same thing I've been doing weekday nights at this time for the past two years or so. Drinking from a big cup of water, half watching TV, finishing up homework, and contemplating whether or not I should play a round of DotA.
Haha.
I don't know how to feel about these habits of mine.

Procrastination.

Some of the best times I've ever had have been misspent. Squandered.
Deadlines make time fly by. It's probably because it makes it more valuable than free time. A non-renewable resource. I have a couple of papers due tomorrow, and even though I started writing at 1:00, it's 7:00 and I've written two pages. I did manage to go to the supermarket, make brownies, talk to my grandma about the war and indigo children, call a friend and talk about non-rhyming poetry and the non-merits of DUI. Something about diverted attention makes my days better.
I'm gonna go watch TV.
